| 1) |
The price for the move relates to the furniture
and contents as shown or told to our representative, and the
hours charged for. Should the furniture the contents or the hours
be increased we reserve the right to charge accordingly. |
| 1a) |
A deposit of £200.00 is required at least seven
working days before the day booked for removal. (see also 15
below) |
| 1b) |
We have allowed for one delivery of boxes in the
price quoted. Any more deliveries will be charged for. The minimum
charge per delivery is £10.00 plus VAT. |
| 1c) |
A refundable deposit of £1 will be required for
each box left with the customer on the day of the move and a
minimum charge of £10.00 will be made for all box collections
made by Steve Frieze Removals. |
| 2) |
Should it be necessary to dismantle any
furniture that has not been allowed for in the price quoted,
we reserve the right to charge accordingly. |
| 3) |
Should there be a delay in the off loading
other than caused by Steve Frieze Removals, we reserve the right
to charge by the hour at the current rate (minimum rate £30 per
hour incl. VAT). |
| 3a) |
The price quoted relates to the number of hours
stated in the Quotation. |
| 4) |
Any loss or damage should be pointed out
to the driver in charge of the move on the day and Steve Frieze
Removals must be notified in writing within seven days of the
removal. |
| 5) |
Should any problems arise at the off loading
destination that Steve Frieze Removals had not been advised of,
we reserve the right to charge accordingly. |
| 6) |
Payment for the removal is due on completion of
the job by cash or cheque (with cheque card) or building society
cheque, less deposit paid. We also accept most major credit cards. |
| 7) |
When putting goods into store we charge one month
in advance and then invoice monthly. There is a minimum storage
period of 2 weeks. |
| 8) |
We charge interest on late storage payments. |
| 9) |
We reserve the right to sell goods in store without
going to court if payments are more than three months in arrears. |
| 10) |
We reserve the right to increase storage charges
when circumstances demand. |
| 11) |
Goods (including archives) will not be delivered
or released out of store until all outstanding charges, including
delivery charges, have been paid in full with cleared funds. |
| 12) |
We reserve the right to terminate storage of your goods by giving
one months notice in writing. |
| 12a) |
Our normal opening times are Monday to Friday
08:00 to 17:00 hours each day. We may where possible open earlier
or later to assist self-storage customers and will charge for
this service. |
| 12b) |
A minimum charge of £25.00 plus VAT will be incurred
by customers who wish to retrieve specific items from storage
containers while effects remain stored with us during our normal
hours. Further charges will apply outside of these hours. |
| 13) |
We will not take in to our storage specifically
dangerous or hazardous or combustible goods. |
| 14) |
We insure each job in our store to a maximum of
£5,000 against fire and special perils. We do not offer any insurance
cover to Trade Customers. |
| 15) |
Fourteen clear days notice of cancellation of
contracted removals, storage or related activities is required
in writing. Failure to meet this requirement will result in any
deposit paid being forfeited. Cancellation or postponement of
a booked removal giving less than seven days notice will result
in the full quoted price being due. |
| 16) |
During loading and off loading it is the customer's
responsibility to see that nothing is left behind at the old
house, removed from our vehicle by a stranger, or left on our
vehicle at the delivery point. |
| 17) |
A minimum of 7 days notice is required for the
removal of containers from store. This includes the removal of
goods from "self-store" containers. |
| 18) |
Whilst every care is taken with all customers'
furniture & effects we are unable to accept any responsibility
for any structural damage to self assembled furniture items (e.g.
MFI, Argos, B&Q etc). |
| 19) |
In order to maximise effective use of our resources
we are unable to deliver goods out of store on the Friday of
any week. If necessary any such work will be carried out on the
following day, Saturday, at no extra cost. |
| 20) |
Goods brought into store by Steve Frieze Removals
will be subject to a handling charge if a party other than Steve
Frieze Removals takes the same goods out of store. |
| 21) |
The term FULL PACKING SERVICE does not normally
include items kept outside of the living area. i.e. excludes
items in the loft garage and any outbuildings. These areas can
be covered by arrangement. |
| 22) |
Unless otherwise stated in our quotation it is
the customer's responsibility to ensure that all loft contents,
which are to be moved to the new address, are taken down from
the loft area. |
| 23) |
Unless stated otherwise in our quotation the customer
will be responsible for the dismantling and reassembly of all
furniture and garden items etc. |
| 24) |
All quotations are valid for 28 days from the
date of issue. |
| 25) |
Insurance cover against damage to goods in transit,
caused by Steve Frieze Removals and fire damage, is included
in the basic price. This cover excludes breakable/fragile items
not packed by Steve Frieze Removals. A £50 excess applies to
all claims. |
| 26) |
Derangements to electrical goods are not covered
by our insurance policy. |
| 27) |
Whilst every effort will be made to assess the
correct number of containers for a job into store we reserve
the right to charge for additional containers which have to be
used. Where fewer containers are used, than allowed for in our
quotation, a pro-rata reduction will be applied to storage charges. |
